The Maternal Heart of Mary Church, Charles O'Neill Way, off Thomas St, Lewisham, is located within the St Vincent de Paul complex of buildings west of West St, south of Parramatta Rd, and north of the Lewisham Railway station, and east of Thomas St.
Maternal Heart of Mary is on the left as one goes along Charles O'Neill Way.
(a) From the Western Distributor:
• Turn south at the James St/Darley Rd intersection - down Darley Rd.

Turn left into William St.
•
Right into Flood St.
•
Follow Flood St down to the traffic lights at the Parramatta Rd intersection.
•
Cross over (Flood St becomes West St) into West St.
•
Turn angled right into Thomas St (only 100m from Parramatta Rd intersection).
•
Turn left into Charles O'Neill Way (opposite Carrington St on the right).
(b) From Parramatta Rd (between Summer Hill and Leichhardt).

Turn into West St at the Flood St and West St intersection.
•
Turn angled right into Thomas St (only 100m from Parramatta Rd intersection).
•
Turn left into Charles O'Neill Way (opposite Carrington St on the right).
(c) From New Canterbury Rd/Stanmore Rd (between Dulwich Hill and Stanmore).
•
Turn into Gordon Rd at the lights at the Livingstone/Gordon Rd intersection with New Canterbury Rd.
Follow Gordon Rd down and be in the right lane as one nears the railway line.

Turn right at the lights at the railway overbridge into West St.
•
Follow West St down along Petersham Park on your right and the St Vincent de Paul buildings on the left.

Turn sharp hairpin left into Thomas St, 100m before the Parramatta Rd intersection.
•
Turn left into Charles O'Neill Way (opposite Carrington St on the right).
Take the Inner West line to Lewisham Station.
From the Lewisham Railway Station.

Exit the station to the north into Thomas St.
•
Note the front of the St Thomas of Canterbury Church. This is not Maternal Heart of Mary Church.

Walk past this church down Thomas St.
•
Turn right into Charles O'Neill Way.
As one enters the Way, note the end of a Maternal Heart of Mary Church building on one's left about 100m. Not on one's right as that is St Thomas of Canterbury Church.
•
Go past the end of the church and turn left down an incline in and under an archway to the courtyard.
•
On the left of the courtyard are two entrances: a side entrance and an entrance into the back of the church.
There is a large parking area at the end of Charles O'Neill Way at the top of the Way opposite the hospital up to a grassed area.
Beware of parking in the reserved areas for St Vincent de Paul vans, hospital entrances, old people's reserved areas, etc.
